ASIAFEST '10 Kicks Off Plano’s Asian American Heritage Week

ASIAFEST '10, the 7th Annual
Plano Asian American Heritage Festival
Celebrating Asian American Heritage
Foundation, a non-profit all-volunteer
organization, announces ASIAFEST ‘10, the 7th
Annual Plano Asian American Heritage
Festival.
ASIAFEST ‘10 will be held in Downtown
Plano’s Haggard Park on Saturday May 1.
The festival is geared toward the
entire family.
Admission and parking in City lots
are free.
Join us Saturday May 1st
for a fun filled afternoon in the Park.
Based on the theme “Together We
Soar,” activities will include balloon
animal clowns, live music and dance
performances, and a variety of Asian food.
New this year is a kite exhibition by
the Dallas chapter of Vibha, a national
non-profit organization helping
underprivileged children in India and the
US.
Plano City Council
officials will be on hand to proclaim the
first week of May Asian American Heritage
Week.
The Festival will
feature a wide variety of Asian food from
area restaurants.
Festival goers are encouraged to come
for lunch.
Participating restaurants include Joy
Luck BBQ, Henry’s Homemade Ice Cream, Mango
Thai, 7 Spices, Boba Latte, Jinbeh Japanese
Restaurant, and Z Grill.
