For the past three years, thousands of

Artists will be on hand to do children¡¯s
face painting. Clowns will be making balloon
animals. Activities include lessons in
Origami, the art of Japanese paper cutting.
Also highlighted are live music and dance
performances on the stage near the gazebo in
the park. This year, the Chinese Cultural
Center of Garland will perform the Chinese
Lion Dance and provide a demonstration of
traditional Shaolin Kung Fu martial arts.
The Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra (DAAYO),
a 35 piece string orchestra, will be
performing classical music. Also, the
festival will showcase a combined adult and
children¡¯s fashion show.
For the second year, the Festival will
feature a wide variety of Asian food from
area restaurants. Festival goers are
encouraged to come for lunch. Participating restaurants include Joy Luck
BBQ, Da Won Korean Restaurant, Henry's
